What We Do

GLOW seeks to leverage legal strategies and resources to sustain and embolden the low-wage worker movement. We do this by:

building a worker center bar

GLOW is reaching, supporting, and mobilizing value aligned lawyers, law students and legal workers throughout the country to support low-wage workers and their organizations.

providing technical & capacity assistance to base-building organizations

GLOW partners with worker centers and other base-building organizations to use legal strategies and resources to reach impacted workers, advance pro-worker policy campaigns, and defend workers and their organizations from attacks.  Assistance provided includes legal enforcement actions to hold bad actor employers accountable, legal clinics, in-depth legal trainings for organizers and workers, strategic research, campaign support, and more.

exposing & confronting the harms posed by temporary staffing

GLOW plays a leading role in exposing the racist legacy and ongoing harm temporary staffing poses to workers across industries and geographies. GLOW leads the national Temp Worker Advocacy Coalition (TWAC), comprised of over 30 worker centers, unions, legal and policy organizations dedicated to winning justice for temp workers. We have released multiple reports exposing racism in temporary staffing, led numerous strategic enforcement actions against temp staffing agencies and the corporations that use them, and engaged in a variety of local, state and national.
